Prepared Mamma to Be

I loooooove my new living room! Our apartment is starting to look less like a college party place and more like a lovely little home, just the way it should be.

I had a doctors appointment on Thursday and everything was perfect. The baby's heartbeat was 147 this time (below 150 means a boy) I've gained 7lbs so far, my sugar test came back normal and my blood pressure is right where it should be. I am really surprised my weight hasn't skyrocketed yet... its not that I don't eat healthy, but I do eat a lot of junk (the baby wants it!) I am so lucky to be healthy and happy!
I have EVERYTHING ready for my newborn baby to come into the world now. All the clothes, diaper bag, bathroom stuff, a swing, a crib... everything. I even placed a $500.00 order on www.well.ca for baby lotions, bath stuff, diapers, cream, wipes and a whole lot more. I feel so prepared and being prepared makes me feel less worried about everything.

So Frazer showed me some items he's been ordering on eBay and I think he is just as addicted as I am. He ordered a jolly-jumper, a pilot hat with goggles on it, a dinosaur hat thing, a cute blanket with a whale on it haha. We are both so excited about our baby and I am happy time seems to be going pretty fast.
Skidoo races start this weekend and Frazer has been getting ready for them for the past month. I can tell he is pretty excited about it all and I'm just excited for the non-stop Eskimo donuts and good food. Also spring break starts this week for me so I will finally get to go out to our family's cabin. It will be kind of boring not being able to skidoo and just having to watch everyone else... I usually skidoo out to the camp and I love it so this year I'll just have to gaze out the truck window and wish. I told Frazer next time I get pregnant I don't want to be pregnant during skidoo season! This is the only time I've felt like I'm missing out.

The baby must be starting to run out of room in my tummy because I feel him or her squirm and turn around a lot more than kicking these days. He had hiccups last night, Frazer was just laughing at him as he was feeling my tummy.
Before I got pregnant I thought pregnancy would be so awful -the getting fat and hormonal, all the weird things that happen to you/your body. I thought I'd just want to get it over and done with, but I actually enjoy being pregnant. Its so neat to be growing a baby and going through all the different stages of growth together and I really do cherish everyday that I am pregnant, it isn't all that bad. My first trimester though.. that was rough and boring, my second trimester was quite exciting because we got to start feeling the baby move, I got my cute bump, and I wasn't dead tired all the time. Now that I am starting my third trimester I can feel myself starting to get really tired again which kind of sucks because I want to do so much all the time.

*** 79 days / 11 weeks and 5 days left (or less, I hope). I will be 29 weeks on Wednesday!! ***

  1. I'm so happy you're happy. I can't wait for da babay to come home so I can smell him and kiss his chubby little face. I'm going to be so sad when I leave for school, only getting 3 months with him
